Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Coastal Modeller to join our Water team in Manila with a hybrid work setup. You will contribute to modelling studies from feasibility to detailed design, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver resilient solutions for communities and infrastructure.

The role offers exposure to cutting-edge modelling tools and a fixed night shift schedule. Ideal candidates hold Civil/Coastal Eng degrees, with experience in MIKE or Delft3D and strong analytical skills.

Qualifications

  • Degree (or Masters) in Civil Engineering, Coastal Engineering, Marine Science or similar.
  • Board Passer.
  • Some experience working on Coastal, Ports or Water projects (through industry or academia), with developing technical capability.
  • Experience or familiarity with MIKE by DHI and/or Delft3D software.
  • Metocean data analysis using MATLAB / Python.
  • Near-field mixing studies using CORMIX.
  • Joint probability methods (EA/Defra guidance).
  • Multivariate analysis.
  • Overtopping assessments (EurOtop Manual).
  • Beach design (XBeach, Shingle-B).
  • Must be amenable to work fixed night shift schedule and hybrid set-up of 3 days onsite per week.
  • You will also be self-motivated with an ability to work both autonomously where required, with a strong sense of commitment.

  • Contribute to the development, setup and application of numerical models.
  • Support senior team members in project delivery, including data analysis and reporting.

  • Contribute to the preparation of technical reports and project documentation.
  • Liaise with internal teams and, where appropriate, support communication with clients and stakeholders.

Our Water team is on the lookout for a passionate Coastal Modeller to join our dynamic and rapidly growing Water Business Line. This is your chance to help deliver high profile, influential projects across the UK and even further afield while working at the heart of one of the UK’s most ambitious and connected northern engineering hubs.
