Job summary

Aurecon is seeking a Drafter, Land Infrastructure to support major land infrastructure projects in Australia. You will create detailed design drawings for subdivisions, roadways, drainage, and utilities, using AutoCAD and MicroStation.

The role requires 5+ years drafting civil infrastructure, knowledge of Australian/NZ standards, and collaboration with engineers and stakeholders. Diploma in Civil Engineering preferred; ProjectWise and 12d experience advantageous.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of drafting civil infrastructure for mining/resources or land infrastructure.
• Experience documenting mining/infrastructure projects and earthworks, roads, drainage and utilities.
• Proficient with AutoCAD and MicroStation 2D; familiarity with ProjectWise.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with stakeholders.
• Knowledge of Australian or NZ standards and regulations; familiarity with 12d.

• Collaborate with engineers, architects and stakeholders to ensure design accuracy and project alignment.
• Ensure designs comply with Australian standards, regulations and industry guidelines.

What will you do?

The purpose of the Drafter, Land Infrastructure role is to support the development of a major land infrastructure projects in the WANT region in Australia. The role will be responsible for creating detailed design drawings for various land infrastructure projects, including subdivisions, roadways, drainage, water and sewer reticulation, earthworks, electrical and communication assets.

• Prepare and review detailed design drawings, plans, and specifications for land infrastructure projects using AutoCAD and other relevant software
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure design accuracy and compliance with project requirements
• Ensure designs are compliant with relevant Australian standards, regulations and industry guidelines.
• Participate in design and drafting reviews to ensure quality standards are achieved
• Perform other duties as assigned by the project manager

You will also need the following capabilities:

Qualifications (Required)

• 5+ years of experience in drafting of civil infrastructure for mining/resources projects, or land Infrastructure
• Strong experience in documentation of mining infrastructure projects, as well as experience in design of earthworks, roads, pavements, car parks, signs and line marking, drainage and utilities.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and Microstation 2D (preferred), ProjectWise
• Good communication skills
• Strong understanding of Australian or NZ standards and regulations is preferred
• Knowledge or experience in using 12d and ProjectWise is preferred
• Diploma in Civil Engineering or other related training/certifications
