We're a fast-growing direct-to-consumer health & wellness brand in the back pain and sciatica space. We scale on paid acquisition, and two kinds of creative do most of the selling: long-form VSLs and AI-generated ads.
And we're continuing to scale. More angles. More batches. More VSLs. And a lot more AI content — AI movies, AI animations, ads built start to finish with AI. That's where we're putting our weight next.
Which means we need an editor on the team full-time... Someone who can do both, and keep up with the volume without sacrificing quality.
We're hiring a full-time Direct Response Video Editor to help us build the next generation of creative for the brand.
What You'll Actually Be Doing
- You’ll edit direct-response video across two priority formats:
- VSLs — long-form (2–10+ minutes), plus the shorter paid ads cut from them.
- AI-generated ads — AI movies and dramas with real dialogue, AI animations, and medical animations that explain what's going on inside the body.
- You’ll also cut the rest of what we run: UGC, story ads told straight to camera, testimonials, product-focused ads.
- You’ll turn scripts, voiceovers, raw footage, AI-generated shots and creative briefs into finished ads built for performance.
- You’ll build the motion graphics that carry the argument: anatomical overlays, animated callouts, pain-point animations (think radiating nerve pain), product highlights. The goal is to make the claim clearer — never exaggerated, never gimmicky.
- You’ll use AI across the whole workflow — generating scenes and characters, extending b-roll, generative fill, upscaling, cleanup, AI voiceover — so more creative ships, faster, at a higher standard.
- You’ll iterate off performance data. When an ad wins, you cut the variations. When it loses, we look at where people dropped off and you fix it.
- You’ll work directly with me — no layers, no committee, no three rounds of approvals.
- You’ll receive feedback. You’ll revise. You’ll improve.
We’re Probably a Fit If…
- You’ve already edited direct-response ads for DTC/eCommerce brands — VSLs ideally. Health, wellness or supplement experience is a plus, not a requirement.
- You’ve made AI-generated video that sells — not just cool clips. You can keep a character looking like the same person from shot to shot, and you can make an AI scene feel real enough that people stop scrolling.
- You understand that a VSL is not the same thing as editing a YouTube video, TikTok, podcast, or brand commercial.
- You understand direct response — retention pacing, watch time, and the fact that the edit’s job is to sell.
- You’ve worked inside a high-volume creative environment.
- You can show us examples where your editing helped turn a script and voiceover into something people couldn’t stop watching.
- You can execute motion graphics — or you’re genuinely willing to learn them fast. Our creative leans on visual explanation, so this doesn’t stay optional.
- You’re the one who finds the new AI tool first. If something new makes the ad better or faster, you’ve already tested it and you bring it to us.
- You can follow a detailed brief precisely, and take feedback without ego.
- You want one brand to go deep on — not six clients to juggle. This is a full-time seat, and your work will directly move how far this brand scales.
- You should be comfortable working with tools such as: Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, Frame.io, Google Drive, Dropbox — plus AI video, image and voice tools (Kling, Veo, Runway, Higgsfield, Midjourney, ElevenLabs or similar).
This is not for beginners, and it's not for cinematic vlog editors. It's for performance-driven editors.
Work from wherever you're most productive. It's fully remote — but it is a full-time, 45–50 hour week, the deadlines are real, and you need to be responsive while a batch is moving.
What It Pays
- $2,000–$3,000 USD per month, based on experience.
- Full-time (45–50 hours per week), fully remote.
- Performance-based bonus on assets that scale.
- A steady pipeline of work — no chasing clients, no gaps between projects.
- Long-term growth potential. As the brand scales, so does the seat.
