Job summary

Asian Development Bank (ADB) seeks a Principal Investment Specialist to lead direct equity investments within the PSOD Equity Investments Unit in Manila. The role requires overseeing portfolio health and guiding structuring, valuations, and exit strategies.

You will supervise a team, coordinate with management, and ensure alignment with development impact and financial objectives while traveling as needed across developing member countries.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or equivalent in business administration, finance, or related fields.
• At least 12 years of combined professional financial and emerging markets experience.
• International experience working in several countries.
• Advanced credit and valuation analysis knowledge across project and corporate finance transactions.
• Strong risk management expertise including rating methodologies and risk types.
• Proven leadership and negotiations with investee companies and sponsors.

Responsibilities

• Lead direct equity investments and advise on processing and administration.
• Develop and implement PSOD equity framework and business plan.
• Lead origination of new investment opportunities and provide structuring advice.
• Market ADB's direct equity business to intermediaries and companies.
