Job summary

Our Clients is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join a Platform-as-a-Service team overseeing Data and Analytics platforms in Azure-based environments. You will automate cloud provisioning, implement IaC, and enhance operational visibility.

The role emphasizes cloud security, automation, and scalable infrastructure with a hybrid work setup and 3 days onsite weekly in the Manila area. You will collaborate with architecture and operations teams to improve reliability and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience leading large-scale cloud/DevOps implementations.
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure IaaS and PaaS.
• Knowledge of ITSM processes including Incident, Change and Request Management.
• Deep expertise in DevOps tools and IaC (Terraform, Python, PowerShell).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and source-control like GitHub Actions or Jenkins.

Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join a Platform-as-a-Service team supporting enterprise Data and Analytics platforms. The role will focus on cloud infrastructure automation, platform provisioning, configuration management, monitoring, security, and operational support across Azure-based environments.

The successful candidate will work closely with architecture and operations teams to implement scalable cloud solutions, automate recurring activities, and improve the reliability and efficiency of cloud platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain cloud automation workflows and support established cloud architecture blueprints.
• Develop automation scripts using Python, PowerShell, or other relevant technologies to streamline platform maintenance, updates, security improvements, and administrative activities.
• Provision, configure, and harden Azure cloud resources in accordance with established technical and security standards.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and configuration management solutions for cloud environments.
• Collaborate with architecture teams in designing and implementing cloud infrastructure supporting Data and Analytics workloads.
• Implement and continuously improve cloud monitoring, logging, dashboards, and operational visibility.
• Automate routine business-as-usual (BAU) activities and develop standardized runbooks to improve operational efficiency.
• Create and maintain technical and operational documentation for engineering solutions and cloud platforms.
• Develop scripts and automation procedures to support 24x7 operations, monitoring, and support teams.
• Test new cloud platform capabilities and prepare operational procedures for their adoption as standardized cloud services.
• Plan and implement appropriate controls for infrastructure and platform changes.
• Support capacity planning, resource-limit assessments, and infrastructure utilization reviews, escalating recommendations to management when required.
• Provide hands-on technical support for cloud platform provisioning, configuration, deployment, and operational activities.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience leading or delivering large-scale implementations involving relevant cloud and DevOps technologies.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Microsoft Azure IaaS and PaaS environments.
• Working knowledge of IT Service Management (ITSM) processes, including Incident, Change, and Request Management.
• Strong expertise in DevOps tools and Infrastructure as Code, particularly:
• Terraform
• Python
• PowerShell
• Hands‑on experience with CI/CD pipelines and source-code repository management, including technologies such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or equivalent platforms.
• Solid knowledge of infrastructure provisioning, cloud security principles, and established methodologies for IaaS and PaaS environments.
• Understanding of networking concepts and troubleshooting, including:
• TCP/IP
• DNS
• Routing and switching
• Firewalls
• LAN/WAN
• DHCP
• Load balancing
• Replication
• SSH
• Willingness to work in a hybrid setup with three days onsite per week.
• Willingness to work on a rotating shift schedule.
• Willingness to report to an assigned office location in Quezon City or Cebu.

Preferred Qualifications

• ITIL and/or Azure certifications.
• Experience working in an Agile environment.
• Microsoft certifications such as MCTS, MCITP, MCSA, or MCSE.
• Demonstrated interest in evaluating, testing, and adopting emerging cloud and IT technologies.
• Strong collaboration skills and willingness to share technical knowledge with team members.
• Good understanding of project scheduling and task-oriented project delivery.
• Strong communication and technical skills.
• Previous experience mentoring team members and working within a structured, process-driven environment.
