Job summary

Sun Life Financial is seeking a Data Operations Senior Engineer in Taguig City to operate, monitor, and continuously improve production data workloads serving SLHK. You’ll manage schedules, SLAs, and lead first-line incident response with rigorous data quality checks and evidence.

The role requires 8+ years in data operations, 3–6 years in DataOps/ETL, and hands-on work with enterprise schedulers like Control‑M, SQL proficiency, and cloud data familiarity.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in data operations or IT.
• 3-6 years in DataOps/ETL operations with hands-on scheduling and production support.

Responsibilities

• Scheduling & Monitoring — Own daily/weekly schedules in the enterprise scheduler; maintain calendars/dependencies; implement health checks and alerts.
• Incident & Problem Management — Triage and restore service; capture RCA and prevention actions; maintain runbooks/knowledge base.
• Change & Release Execution — Deploy/config changes under change controls with evidence and rollback plans.
• Data Quality Operations Support — Run DQ checks, file evidence, and track remediation with DG/DQ leads.
• Service Reporting — Publish job success/latency/SLA compliance; automate to reduce manual toil.
