Job summary

Rising Tide Digital, Inc. is seeking a senior security engineer to own the Databricks platform security architecture and operations.

You will lead AI-driven security automation for the data platform and manage security program operations across the data estate. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years in cloud/data security, hands-on Databricks experience, and strong knowledge of Unity Catalog, IAM, encryption, and compliance frameworks.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in cloud security, data security, or security engineering.
• 2+ years of hands-on Databricks experience in production enterprise environments.
• Expertise with Databricks security architecture, including Unity Catalog, workspace security, and credential management.
• Strong knowledge of cloud security principles and major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Deep understanding of data security concepts, including encryption, data masking, and access control frameworks.
• Experience with security compliance frameworks and regulatory requirements in enterprise environments.
• Proficiency with security tools and technologies such as SIEM platforms, vulnerability scanners, and IAM systems.
• Strong scripting or programming skills in Python, SQL, or similar languages to automate security tasks.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with strong attention to detail.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate complex security concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Relevant security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or AWS Security Specialty are highly desirable.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools and DevSecOps practices is preferred.
