Job summary

Union Bank of the Philippines is seeking a Senior Data Security Manager to lead the data protection program and governance within the information security framework. The role develops data security policies, ensures policy compliance, and protects the organization’s data assets.

The incumbent will oversee analysts, implement DLP strategies, conduct risk assessments, and collaborate across IT, legal, and business units to safeguard PIIs and ensure regulatory alignment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Security or Computer Science or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in data security or related role.
• Strong knowledge of data protection regulations (e.g., ISO27001, NIST, GDPR).

Responsibilities

• Oversee Data Security Analysts to ensure alignment with data security policies.
• Develop and enforce data security policies and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with information security policies, regulations and standards; conduct regular audits and risk assessments.
• Monitor and respond to data security incidents and breaches.
• Collaborate with IT, legal, security teams and business units on data protection.
• Implement data loss prevention (DLP) strategies and technologies.
• Provide training and awareness programs on data security best practices.
• Stay updated on data security trends and threats.
• Prepare and present data security reports to senior management.

Job Summary: The Data Security Manager is responsible for ensuring the organization's data security compliance and governance within the broader information security framework. This role involves developing and implementing data security policies, ensuring adherence to information security policies, regulations, and protecting the organization's data assets

Duties And Responsibilities

• Oversees the work of Data Security Analysts, ensuring that their activities align with the organization's data security policies and objectives
• Develop and enforce data security policies and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with information security policies, regulations and standards by conducting regular data security audits and risk assessments.
• Monitor and respond to data security incidents and breaches.
• Collaborate with IT, legal, security teams, and business units to ensure data protection compliance.
• Implement data loss prevention (DLP) strategies and technologies.

• Stay updated on the latest data security trends and threats.
• Prepare and present data security reports to senior management.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in data security or a related role.
• Strong knowledge of data protection regulations (e.g., ISO27001, NIST, GDPR).
