Job summary

Metrobank is seeking a Senior Data Scientist focused on advanced analytics, ML and AI to strengthen enterprise risk management. You will transform complex data into actionable insights to enhance decision-making, regulatory compliance and risk governance.

The role collaborates with Quantitative Risk teams, develops PoC models and drives model governance while mentoring junior staff. Based in Metrobank Center, Taguig City, Philippines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required or higher in a quantitative field.
• Master’s degree or higher in data science, statistics, math, CS, engineering, quantitative finance, actuarial science or related disciplines preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in data science, advance analytics, machine learning, quantitative research or risk analytics.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop machine learning, AI and advance analytical solutions to support enterprise risk management objectives.
• Analyze large and complex datasets to identify risk patterns, trends, anomalies and emerging threats.
• Develop proof-of-concept models and prototypes for deployment by quantitative risk teams.
• Apply statistical techniques and modern ML approaches to improve risk identification and forecasting.
• Collaborate with Quantitative Risk Teams for model development and governance.
• Prepare documentation and knowledge transfers for deployment by quantitative teams.
