Job summary

ERNI Philippines is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to design and implement advanced analytics solutions, including machine learning models and Generative AI applications, to help stakeholders generate actionable insights and support data-driven decisions.

You will modernize financial projection logic, migrate Excel/VBA processes to Python, and collaborate with distributed teams. The role requires 5+ years in data science, strong statistical skills, and fluency in English.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Information Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, or another related discipline.
• At least five years of professional experience in data science, advanced analytics, or a closely related role.
• Hands-on experience designing or implementing machine learning solutions.
• Strong experience in statistical analysis and statistical modeling.
• Practical experience with Generative AI applications or solutions.
• Proficiency in Python, R, and SQL.
• Experience building and maintaining data pipelines and ETL processes.
• Experience creating dashboards, analytical reports, or interactive visualizations using Power BI.
• Familiarity with at least one major cloud platform, particularly Microsoft Azure or AWS.
• Demonstrated ability to perform data validation and implement data quality checks.
• Strong analytical thinking and structured problem-solving skills.
• Experience working within Agile teams and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Strong data storytelling skills, including the ability to communicate complex findings to business stakeholders and senior executives.
• Ability to work effectively with globally distributed and culturally diverse teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, evaluate, and maintain machine learning models that address defined business and analytical requirements.
• Design and implement Generative AI applications for appropriate enterprise use cases.
• Perform exploratory data analysis, statistical analysis, and statistical modeling to identify patterns, relationships, risks, and actionable insights.
• Translate analytical findings into clear recommendations for technical and non technical stakeholders.
• Build, maintain, and improve scalable data pipelines and ETL processes.
• Support the migration of financial projection logic currently implemented through Excel formulas and VBA into maintainable Python solutions.
• Integrate data from multiple source systems through automated interface jobs.
• Support the modernization and enhancement of existing data marts to accommodate projection results, assumptions, and related analytical information.
• Help enable parallel computation of financial projection scenarios.
• Create interactive dashboards, reports, and data visualizations using Power BI.
• Work with business stakeholders, data analysts, analytics engineers, and other technical teams to understand data requirements and translate them into effective solutions.
• Implement data validation, reconciliation, and quality checks to maintain data accuracy and integrity.
• Prepare comprehensive technical documentation, analytical reports, insights, and recommendations.
• Participate actively in Agile activities and collaborate with cross-functional project teams.
• Communicate analytical concepts and results effectively to senior executives and stakeholders from diverse cultural backgrounds.
• Keep current with relevant developments in machine learning, Generative AI, analytics engineering, cloud data platforms, and data visualization.
• Perform other relevant responsibilities assigned by the Project Manager or designated project stakeholders.
