Job summary

66degrees is seeking a Senior QA Engineer – Data to lead testing for complex data pipelines on Google Cloud Platform. You will design and implement end-to-end testing, data quality checks, and validation across BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc, Spanner, and other GCP services.

You will collaborate with data engineers, mentor junior QA, and drive improvements in data quality KPIs while embedding QA within CI/CD pipelines and IaC provisioning.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in QA or software testing, including data pipelines
• Strong SQL skills and data validation capability
• Experience with Python or pytest for scripting
• Knowledge of CI/CD practices and automation

Responsibilities

• Design and implement multi-layered testing strategies for data pipelines on GCP
• Develop data quality tests using dbt, Great Expectations, Soda Core and related tools
• Validate ETL/ELT pipelines, endpoints, and database functions across Cloud services
• Embed QA in CI/CD pipelines and provision reproducible test environments
