Job summary

LanceSoft in Manila is seeking a Senior Data Platform Engineer for a 1-year contract with a hybrid work setup. The role focuses on designing, building, and maintaining scalable data platforms using Azure, Databricks, PySpark, and modern data pipelines.

You will collaborate with data analysts, developers, and stakeholders to deliver integrated data solutions, while ensuring code quality, security, and compliance with SDLC. Strong English communication is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in IT/Engineering/Data Science or related field.
• At least five years of experience in data/platform/software engineering including architecture, design and development of integrated systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services, CI/CD pipelines and Azure DevOps.
• Experience with IaC tools such as Terraform.
• Experience developing microservices for data integration (TypeScript or Python).
• Hands-on experience with data pipelines and modern data warehouse solutions (Databricks, Python, PySpark).
• Relational databases experience (PostgreSQL).
• Experience ingesting data from SharePoint Online, Excel, and other enterprise sources.
• Knowledge of Power BI semantic models, DAX, and REST API integration is an advantage.
• Familiarity with SDLC, project management, and Agile (Scrum/Kanban).
• Relevant certifications are an advantage.
• Experience with teams of five or more; ability to engage with executives and diverse stakeholders.
• Excellent English communication (oral and written).

Responsibilities

• Report to the Product Delivery Manager and coordinate with stakeholders.
• Contribute to high-level and detailed technical designs.
• Deliver unit-tested and secure code.
