Job summary

Seven Seven Global Services, Inc. is seeking an experienced Data Modeller to design, develop, and optimize data models for banking and financial services platforms based in Metro Manila.

You will translate complex business requirements into scalable data architectures, collaborate with analysts, architects, and DBAs, and mentor junior team members while ensuring data governance and regulatory compliance. The role requires 8+ years of experience and proficiency with ERwin or Toad Data Modeler,

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional experience in data modelling within banking or financial services
• Advanced proficiency with ERwin or Toad Data Modeler
• Expert-level knowledge of relational DB design and SQL optimisation
• Strong understanding of account and relationship management systems
• Experience with dimensional modelling and data warehousing
• Knowledge of data governance and regulatory compliance (Basel III, GDPR)
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to lead and mentor junior team members
• Strong communication with stakeholders
• Familiarity with cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
• Experience with Agile methodologies

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain comprehensive data models that support account and relationship management processes across banking and financial services platforms




• Translate business requirements and use cases into logical and physical data models, ensuring accuracy, scalability, and optimal performance




• Collaborate with business analysts, software architects, and database administrators to understand data requirements and implement solutions that meet organisational standards




• Conduct data quality assessments and implement validation rules to ensure consistency and reliability of financial and customer data




• Document data models, data dictionaries, and technical specifications in clear and comprehensive formats for stakeholder communication




• Optimise existing data models to improve query performance, reduce storage costs, and enhance system efficiency




• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior data modellers and support teams on data modelling best practices




• Stay current with emerging data modelling tools, technologies, and methodologies in the banking and financial services sector




• Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to data governance policies and regulatory compliance requirements




• Support the migration and integration of data across multiple systems and platforms

What we're looking for

• 8+ years of professional experience in data modelling, with substantial exposure to banking, financial services, or related industries




• Advanced proficiency in data modelling tools and methodologies, such as ERwin, Toad Data Modeler, or equivalent platforms




• Expert-level knowledge of relational database design, normalisation techniques, and SQL query optimisation




• Strong understanding of account and relationship management systems, customer data platforms, or core banking systems




• Demonstrated experience with dimensional modelling, data warehousing, and business intelligence architectures




• Solid grasp of data governance, data quality frameworks, and regulatory compliance requirements (such as Basel III, GDPR, or local regulatory standards)




• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex business requirements into technical solutions




• Proven ability to lead and mentor junior team members, fostering a collaborative and knowledge-sharing environment




• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders




• Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) is highly desirable




• Exposure to Agile development methodologies and experience working in fast-paced, dynamic environments
