Job summary

PMFTC Inc. is seeking a Data Governance & Management Sr Specialist in Metro Manila to drive adoption and implementation of governance practices.

The role bridges business and technology, ensuring data assets are managed as business assets through ownership, stewardship, quality, metadata, and governance processes. The ideal candidate will lead data governance initiatives, monitor policies, and collaborate with data engineers and scientists to embed data governance in pipelines, reporting metrics

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Management, or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in Data Governance, Data Management, BI, Data Engineering, Analytics, or related disciplines.
Experience with data management tools (e.g., Atlan, Collibra, LeanIX, Snowflake).
Familiarity with ML/AI applications in data governance.
Understanding of data governance principles (DAMA-DMBOK).

Responsibilities

Implement data governance policies, processes and standards.
Collaborate with data owners and stakeholders to ensure data quality and confidentiality.
Lead local data governance initiatives and projects, ensuring alignment with objectives and policies.
Monitor and enforce data governance policies and procedures; conduct data quality assessments and audits.
Identify, solve, and execute solutions to improve data reliability and quality; utilize Snowflake, Atlan, LeanIX to manage data.
Work with Data Engineers and Data Scientists and other stakeholders to integrate governance into data pipelines.
Report on data governance metrics and KPIs to senior management.
Provide training and support to staff on data governance best practices.
