Job summary

Northern Trust in Manila is seeking a Consultant for Data Management to ensure reliability and consistency of the HR data environment. You will enforce data governance, support dashboards, reports, data marts, and semantic models while handling user inquiries and incidents.

You will collaborate with Data Engineering/BI teams on performance tuning and capacity planning, maintaining glossary terms and data catalog entries, and promoting data literacy across internal clients worldwide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, Business Analytics, or related field
• 5+ years of experience in data operations, BI/analytics, or data governance
• Hands-on with at least one BI platform and SQL (intermediate)
• Working knowledge of ETL/ELT concepts and tools such as Azure Data Factory, dbt, Informatica, SSIS, Databricks
• Familiarity with data governance practices and at least one tool (Purview, Collibra, Alation)
• Understanding of data quality dimensions and controls; experience designing/operating DQ checks
• Strong documentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills

Responsibilities

• Ensure day-to-day reliability and consistency of HR data environment
• Enforce data governance routines, data quality checks, and data lineage updates
• Support BI products: dashboards, reports, data marts, semantic models
• Act as second line of support for user inquiries and incident resolution
• Maintain user-facing documentation and provide training to promote self-service analytics
• Collaborate with Data Engineering/BI teams on performance tuning and reliability improvements
• Own standard KPI/metric definitions and measures across reporting artifacts
