Job summary

Qodea in Taguig, Philippines, is seeking a data engineer to create and maintain knowledge materials for MSP delivery, and to collaborate with Google and customer engineering teams to implement scalable data pipelines using GCP.

You will design and maintain ETL/ELT processes, optimize data models, and mentor colleagues while ensuring data availability and performance across analytics workloads.

Qualifications

• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and data engineering.
• Strong Python development and data pipeline experience.
• Proficient SQL and BigQuery for large datasets.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain knowledge materials for MSP delivery.
• Act as trusted advisor to customers on GCP solutions.
• Collaborate with delivery teams, Google, and customer engineers.
• Document and implement managed service processes aligned with project tech stacks and customer requirements.
• Upskill and mentor colleagues to ensure smooth delivery across teams.
• Represent Qodea in relationships with Google or customers when needed.
• Handle customer escalations and patches for data platform issues.
• Investigate issues and maintain data models to support analytics and reporting.
• Monitor data infrastructure for availability, correctness and performance.
• Ensure data pipelines and ML models operate correctly.
• Collaborate with customers quarterly to meet evolving requirements.
• Scope and plan implementation of customer changes/requirements.
• Maintain automated data pipelines for ingestion, ETL, and storage.
