Job summary

RELX is seeking a seasoned Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines, ingesting diverse third-party data sources and integrating them into the AWS landscape. You will develop automated extraction workflows, ensure data quality, and document data lineage while collaborating with stakeholders across a global organization.

The role requires 5–7 years in data engineering, strong SQL/Linux scripting skills, and experience with AWS cloud services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or computer science preferred.
• Experience with stakeholders in a global context is required.
• 5–7 years in data engineering with focus on data processing and relational databases.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines to ingest third-party data.
• Integrate web traffic, campaign, and engagement data into AWS landscape.
• Develop automated workflows for data extraction via APIs, webhooks, and batch processes.
• Monitor and optimize data pipeline performance and reliability.
• Ensure clean, structured, and standardized datasets across multiple sources.
• Maintain data consistency, deduplication, and normalization practices.
• Document data sources, transformations, and lineage.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and analysts to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Develop data lake solutions leveraging new or existing technology.
• Design, upgrade and implement new data workflows, automation, tools and API integrations.
• Write and maintain technical documentation and perform tests.
• Work in an Agile team.
