Job summary

Amadeus in Manila is seeking a Senior Data Engineer (C#, SQL, Analytics) to design, develop, and maintain data solutions and robust applications using cloud technologies. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to support data-driven initiatives and improve engineering practices.

You will define data pipelines, optimize performance, ensure data quality and governance, and contribute to testing, documentation, and deployment.

Qualifications

• Hands-on software development experience in Agile environments.
• Experience with data technologies and data management practices (SQL, DBMS, BI, Analytics).
• Strong proficiency in SQL Server or equivalent database technologies.
• Experience with database performance monitoring and tuning.
• Solid experience with C# / .NET programming.
• Solid experience in Reporting, ETL, and Data Warehousing.
• Ability to write clean, reliable unit tests.

Responsibilities

• Define user requirements for the development of new (or upgrade of existing) data pipelines.
• Work with development and business stakeholders to develop, implement and perfect features.
• Design data pipelines and code.
• Design technical solutions and perform feasibility studies.
• Propose viable and scalable technical solutions to Product Management and/or users for validation.
• Develop software according to Amadeus standards: stability, monitoring, automation, operability, deployability, implementability.
• Model, design and implement databases.
• Design and implement high scalability, high availability solutions dealing with high levels of parallelization.
• Optimize performances of existing data pipelines and reduce their operational costs; Ensure data quality, security and governance (GDPR zones, data catalog).
• Conduct unit, package and performance tests and ensure a level of quality in line with the Amadeus guidelines.
• Participate in the validation phase of the product cycle, fine-tuning when necessary to finalize the product.
• Support the customer by debugging existing solutions in collaboration with Product Manager or Product Definition Analyst.
• Produce software documentation necessary for the application and issue it to the requesting departments.

About the role

As a Senior Software Developer Engineer - Data Engineer, you will design, develop, and maintain robust applications and data solutions using modern tools and cloud technologies. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, support data-driven initiatives, and contribute to continuous improvements in our engineering practices.

Key Responsibilities

Analyses specifications

• Define user requirements for the development of new (or upgrade of existing) data pipelines.

About the Ideal Candidate

Qualifications

• University degree in computer science, business studies, or a related field, or relevant experience.

Bonus if you have

• Experience with API integration and/or API implementation.
• Hands‑on experience with data integration tools such as:
  • SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
  • Azure Data Factory (ADF)
  • or similar.
• Experience with cloud data platforms, including:
  • Azure SQL
  • Cosmos DB
  • Splunk
  • or equivalent.
• Familiarity with test automation frameworks like xUnit, NUnit, or similar.
• Experience deploying solutions in the cloud (Azure preferred, AWS also considered).
• Exposure to microservices‑based architectures.
• Experience designing and implementing external APIs.
• Background in CI/CD pipelines and automation tools.
• Test automation experience beyond unit testing (integration, performance, etc.).
