Job summary

AgileEngine is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to lead Airflow and dbt-driven pipelines within a modern Snowflake data stack. You will implement Bronze/Silver/Gold layering, automate tests, and migrate scheduled jobs into robust DAGs while safeguarding PII data and minimizing downtime for BI tools.

The role requires 4+ years in data engineering, hands-on Airflow and dbt, and strong Python/SQL skills; English at an upper-intermediate level.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience as a Data Engineer.
• Hands-on production experience with Apache Airflow.
• Strong dbt Core expertise and CI/CD patterns.
• Experience building deployment pipelines and automated testing.
• Solid Python and SQL for data engineering tasks.
• Upper-intermediate English proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Support bronze/silver/gold layering across Snowflake with architecture input.
• Build automated testing and failure alerting across ETL and Airflow.
• Migrate Paradime jobs into orchestrated Airflow DAGs.
• Maintain data governance and access controls for PII data.
• Translate dbt schedules into scalable Airflow DAGs using Python patterns.
• Evolve integration points between Paradime and Airflow in production.
• Audit dbt pipelines to reduce compute runtime and cost.
• Collaborate on evolving data stack to support AI semantic layers.
• Establish automated error handling and recovery across the pipeline.
• Ensure no downtime or data loss for downstream BI tools during changes.
