Socium - Teams Done Differently is seeking a Senior Data/AI Governance Specialist to develop and implement governance frameworks across Data, Analytics, Data Science, and AI/ML. You will ensure models and data-driven solutions are properly governed, monitored, compliant, and aligned with responsible AI and risk management standards.

Responsibilities include establishing policies and standards across the model lifecycle, overseeing validation and monitoring, and partnering with Data Science teams

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in Data Science, Analytics, AI/ML, Model Governance, Model Risk, or Data Governance.
• Experience implementing Data, Analytics, or AI/ML governance frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain governance frameworks for Data, Analytics, and AI/ML models.
• Establish policies, controls, and standards across the end-to-end model lifecycle.
• Oversee model validation, performance monitoring, model drift, documentation, and remediation.
• Partner with Data Science teams to embed governance across model development, deployment, and monitoring.
• Identify governance, data quality, process, and control gaps and recommend improvements.
• Support Responsible AI, data privacy, regulatory compliance, and model risk management.
• Work closely with Data Science, Risk, Compliance, Technology, and business stakeholders.

Job description

The Senior Data/ AI Governance Specialist is responsible for developing and implementing governance frameworks across Data, Analytics, Data Science, and AI/ML. The role ensures models and data-driven solutions are properly governed, monitored, compliant, and aligned with responsible AI and risk management standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain governance frameworks for Data, Analytics, and AI/ML models.
• Establish policies, controls, and standards across the end-to-end model lifecycle.
• Oversee model validation, performance monitoring, model drift, documentation, and remediation.
• Partner with Data Science teams to embed governance across model development, deployment, and monitoring.
• Identify governance, data quality, process, and control gaps and recommend improvements.
• Support Responsible AI, data privacy, regulatory compliance, and model risk management.
• Work closely with Data Science, Risk, Compliance, Technology, and business stakeholders.

Tools & Technologies

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, or related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in Data Science, Analytics, AI/ML, Model Governance, Model Risk, or Data Governance.
• Good understanding of machine learning models, model evaluation, validation, monitoring, and model lifecycle management.
• Experience implementing Data, Analytics, or AI/ML governance frameworks.
• Working experience using Python, SQL, and/or R.
• Experience in banking and financial services is an advantage.
