Job summary

IBM Consulting is seeking a highly skilled Security Architect to bridge strategic security planning with hands-on architectural delivery in a global client context. This role focuses on building a resilient Security Intelligence Operations Center and SIEM solutions, ensuring alignment with IBM’s viewpoints and best practices.

You will lead design, evaluation, and development efforts, coordinating across teams to deliver scalable security architectures that meet client needs and performance

Qualifications

• Experience in designing Security Intelligence Operations Center (SIOC) and Security Incident & Event Management (SIEM) solutions.
• Ability to articulate IBM's SIOC and SIEM viewpoints to stakeholders.
• Experience evaluating and selecting software/hardware components for performance and scalability.
• Proven track record leading the development of security-focused solutions for clients.
• Strong understanding of reference architectures and asset-based solution development.

Responsibilities

• Design Service Descriptions, Scope Definitions, CSFs, and Architecture models for security solutions.
• Evaluate infrastructure components to ensure performance and scalability while minimizing client impact.
• Lead the development of SIOC and SIEM solutions, embedding IBM best practices.
• Ensure solution performance, availability, and scalability across client environments.
• Develop tailored client solutions using technical expertise and reference assets.

Your Role And Responsibilities

This role is for a highly skilled and experienced Security Architect who can bridge the gap between high-level security strategy and hands-on technical architecture. We need someone who doesn't just know the tools, but understands how to build a resilient, scalable Security Intelligence Operations Center (SIOC) from the ground up.

• Design Solution Architecture: Develop Services Descriptions, Scope Definitions, Critical Success Factors, System Context Diagram, Logical/Physical Architecture, Operations Model, Component Model, Business Processes, Dependencies, Locations, and non-functional Requirement Designs using reference architecture, technical work products, and assets.
• Evaluate Infrastructure Components: Critically evaluate and select software and hardware components, including those from partners, to ensure the performance, availability, and scalability of the solution and minimize impact on the client's infrastructure.
• Lead Solution Development: Oversee the development of Security Intelligence Operations Center and Security Incident & Event Management Solutions, ensuring best practices and IBM's points of view are incorporated.
• Ensure Solution Performance: Ensure the performance, availability, and scalability of the solution, considering the impact on the client's infrastructure.
• Develop Client Solutions: Use technical expertise to develop tailored solutions for clients, aligning with their specific needs and requirements.

• Solution Development Leadership: Experience leading the development of Security Intelligence Operations Center and Security Incident & Event Management Solutions, incorporating best practices and IBM's points of view.
• Technical Solution Development: Experience with developing tailored solutions for clients, aligning with their specific needs and requirements, using technical expertise and reference architecture, technical work products, and assets.
