Job summary

APW Tech is seeking an experienced Senior IT Analyst - Cybersecurity Engineer (Vulnerability Management) to strengthen our security posture through vulnerability management, security assessments, risk analysis, and remediation governance.

You will work across on-premises and cloud environments, collaborating with infrastructure, application, and cloud teams to identify, prioritize, and remediate risks while driving automation and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in Cybersecurity or related disciplines.
• Strong experience in vulnerability management, security operations, and risk management.

Responsibilities

• Review security controls, perform risk assessments, and validate remediation activities.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Senior IT Analyst - Cybersecurity Engineer (Vulnerability Management) to strengthen our security posture through vulnerability management, security assessments, risk analysis, and remediation governance.

In this role, you will work across on-premises and cloud environments, leveraging modern security tools to identify, assess, prioritize, and remediate vulnerabilities. You'll collaborate with infrastructure, application, and cloud teams to ensure security risks are addressed effectively while helping improve security operations through automation and process enhancements.

Key Responsibilities

Vulnerability Management

• Administer and manage vulnerability management platforms including Tenable One, Wiz, and Hadrian.

• Conduct vulnerability assessments, asset discovery, and baseline security scans.

• Analyze and prioritize vulnerabilities across on-premise, cloud, and hybrid environments.

• Track remediation efforts and ensure timely resolution of identified security risks.

Security Operations

• Review firewall configurations and security controls, identifying potential gaps and recommending improvements.

• Perform risk assessments and provide actionable security recommendations.

• Validate remediation activities and conduct follow-up verification testing.

• Assist with software security reviews and security-related investigations.

Security Automation & Improvement

• Develop and maintain automation workflows using APIs, scripting, and security tool integrations.

• Improve operational efficiency through automation and process optimization.

• Support implementation of security best practices and continuous improvement initiatives.

Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain security reports, risk registers, and remediation dashboards.

• Create and manage tickets and coordinate follow-ups with technical teams.

• Assist in developing security procedures, standards, and governance documentation.

• Support proof-of-concept activities, security projects, and technical assessments.

What We're Looking For

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.

• Minimum 10 years of experience in Cybersecurity, Information Security, IT Security Compliance, or related disciplines.

• Strong experience in vulnerability management, security operations, and risk management.
