The role emphasizes collaboration with cross‑functional teams, advanced data protection, and leadership in backup operations across Unix/Linux and Windows environments.

Qualifications

• Experience managing backup infrastructure at scale.
• In-depth understanding of Data Protection and Cyber Resilience principles.
• Proven experience in TSM administration and Cobalt Iron administration.
• Experience in backup monitoring across multiple tools.
• Proficiency in Unix/Linux and Windows OS; scripting.
• Ability to develop operational reports and client engagement.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional backup services; SME for Backup Cyber Recovery globally.
• Investigate, design, and recommend backup solutions with cyber security focus.
• Define and implement Improvement Plans for robustness of global infrastructures.
• Provide technical leadership to backup and cyber security teams.
• Build and deploy backup infrastructure and repositories.
• Troubleshoot backup, tape, and SAN storage issues.
• Manage critical issues across multiple technical towers.
• Offer engineering solutions for operational challenges.
• Participate in on‑call rotations and coach peers.
• Drive vendor engagement to ensure service levels.
• Adhere to change, incident, and problem management processes.
• Utilize automation tools to improve backup processes.
• Governance and compliance: establish standards and auditing.
• Collaborate with platform/application teams on workloads and retention policies.
