Job Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced GL Accountant to manage Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Inventory accounting, and month-end closing activities. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in intercompany accounting, inventory management, tax reporting, and audit support within a multinational environment.
Key Responsibilities
Daily Responsibilities
- Manage Intercompany Accounts Receivable (AR) accounts including clearing receipts and offset listings.
- Perform daily download and reconciliation of bank journals for HSBC sweeping arrangements and receipts.
- Manage third-party AR accounts and clear customer receipts accurately and timely.
- Monitor and review customer aging reports for both third-party and intercompany accounts.
Weekly Responsibilities
- Create Purchase Requisitions (PR) for newly acquired assets.
- Create fixed asset codes for newly approved assets.
- Review Fixed Assets CER forms in accordance with company policy, including verification of quotations and approval requirements.
Monthly Responsibilities
- Prepare and review Demo/Engineering Cost reports for Asia & Europe.
- Handle withholding tax reporting for Singapore entities.
- Review and monitor Check Block Documents (VFX3) at month-end.
- Manage inventory stock provisioning and stock aging analysis.
- Perform inventory cycle counts and reconciliation activities.
- Generate inventory cycle count result reports for management review.
- Prepare ERF - XPPL Balance Sheet reconciliations.
- Review and prepare intercompany AR provisions and aging analysis.
Annual Responsibilities
- Support statutory audit and tax audit activities including preparation of schedules and supporting documents.
Ad-hoc Responsibilities
- Perform credit limit requests and reviews for new customers.
- Issue manual debit notes and credit notes to customers.
- Identify disputed invoices and track resolution, ensure timely closure of open disputes
- Coordinate with sales, customer service, and finance teams
- Support government surveys and reporting requirements such as National Survey, Singapore Investment Abroad, and Direct Investment surveys.
- Process improvement projects
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
- 8-10 years of relevant experience in General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Inventory, and Fixed Assets accounting.
- Strong knowledge of SAP S4 systems, especially on SAP FI/CO modules.
- Experience in multinational company environments and intercompany accounting.
- Knowledge of Singapore withholding tax and corporate tax processes is preferred.
- Strong analytical, reconciliation, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight reporting deadlines.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
