Job summary

Morse Electric Inc. in the Philippines seeks a controls engineer to design, develop, install, and maintain control software for automated machines and processes. You will specify control systems, develop modular code, validate implementations, and support testing and commissioning across projects.

Responsibilities include ladder logic for Rockwell PLCs, HMI development, on-site commissioning, and documentation. Strong reading of schematics and NEC/UL 508A knowledge are valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Engineering or 4-year equivalent, or 5 years related experience.
• Electrical or mechanical engineering is preferred.
• Ability to apply sound engineering solutions within budget and schedule constraints.
• Ability to read process diagrams, mechanical drawings, and electrical schematics.
• Microsoft Office proficiency.
• AutoCAD, HMI, PLC, SCADA experience preferred.
• Understanding of NEC and UL 508A.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.
• Read/interpret schematics and diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Design and specify control systems for automated machines and processes.
• Develop and validate modular, well-documented code.
• Test, maintain and modify systems as needed.
• Design control panels and select components.
• Develop ladder logic for PLCs (Rockwell) and implement programs.
• Develop HMI applications and screens.
• Test, commission on-site, and support process control clients.
• Determine suitable integration solutions per project constraints.
• Create operation and maintenance manuals.
• Provide project-wide technical support and finalize design documentation.
