Job summary

Siemens Real Estate (SRE) seeks a Senior Construction and Decarbonization Project Manager to lead complex industrial and office projects in Mexico. You will drive decarbonization initiatives, manage construction from inception to handover, and ensure adherence to Siemens standards for sustainability, safety, and digitalization.

The role requires strong experience in electrical distribution, building codes, and contracts, with up to 70% travel across the Americas.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering with 10 years of experience as a Construction Project Manager for industrial projects in Mexico.
• Knowledge of electrical supply technologies including switchgear, transformers and distribution.
• Familiarity with building codes and construction contracts.
• Knowledge of CENACE and CFE standards for Medium and High Voltage projects in Mexico.
• Willingness to travel within Mexico, Central America, and possibly across the Americas (50‑70% travel).
• Fluency in Spanish and English; strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage real estate construction and fit-out projects (office and light industrial) and decarbonization projects from start to finish.
• Ensure Siemens guidelines on sustainability, digitalization and safety are applied on site.
• Ensure quality, on-time completion, and time/cost efficiency; report progress to management stakeholders.
• Lead power supply projects, coordinating with owners, utilities, and regulatory agencies.
• Optimize technical solutions for decarbonization areas (energy supply, energy efficiency, heat generation, on-site generation).
• Build and lead the project team, coordinating internal and external service providers.
• Establish and maintain relationships with project stakeholders; drive digitalization and innovation.

Senior Construction and Decarbonization Project Manager

We are seeking a full‑time driven and enthusiastic senior project manager to join our Mexico based team. Also, to perform comprehensive Decarbonization Projects on major office and industrial locations. We make real what matters.

As a Senior Construction and Decarbonization Project Manager, you will be responsible for:

• Managing real estate construction and fit‑out projects such as office and light industrial buildings, as well as Decarbonization projects in such buildings from start through end.
• Ensuring implementation of Siemens Guidelines valuing Sustainability, Digitalization and Safety on site.
• Responsible for efficient project execution and targets achievement. You ensure compliance with the required quality, timely completion, and time/cost efficiency.
• Report regularly on project status and progress to management stakeholders and the Siemens Real Estate Construction and/or Decarbonization programs management.
• Execute power supply projects, interacting with building owners, utilities, and government regulatory agencies as needed. You are responsible for efficient project execution and targets achievements. You ensure compliance with the required quality, timely completion and time/cost efficiency.
• In terms of decarbonization projects, together with the team you optimize technical solutions. Especially in the areas of energy supply, energy efficiency, heat generation (where applicable), and distribution, heat pump technology and on‑site power generation.
• Building up the project team embedding internal and external service provider and lead the project team during the entire project duration.
• Establishing and maintaining relationships with all project stakeholders, coordinating all external and internal project participants in a respectful and structured manner.
• Drive digitalization and innovation, taking the opportunity to identify creative solutions to improve projects and processes.
• Use of standardized project management methods and tools to ensure continuous progress and monitoring of project tasks. Conducting regular project routines and ensuring proper documentation are also part of daily project tasks.
• You lead the project team and motivate team members continuously. You solve conflicts within the team and the extended project environment.

Your Profile

Must Have

• Degree in Engineering with 10 years of professional work experience as a Construction Project Manager for industrial projects in Mexico.
• You must have general knowledge in construction management and proven skills in electrical supply technologies, switchgears, transformers and electrical distribution.
• Knowledge of building codes and experience in dealing with planning and construction contracts are a must.
• Knowledge of CENACE and CFE standards and requirements for projects in Medium and High Voltage in Mexico.
• Ability to travel within Mexico, Central America, and eventually to other countries within the Americas; with travel time expected to be up to 50%-70%.
• Positive attitude and committed to team collaboration and communication.
• Driven, with a high level of motivation to learn, develop, and adapt, as well as an affinity for innovation.
• Structured way of working and good time management.
• Fluency in Spanish and English.
• Extraordinary communication skills, with proven ability to influence and collaborate across all organizational levels.

Ideally

• Ideally, you have general knowledge and focus skills on heat supply technologies, cooling and air conditioning, energy efficiency measures, and building automation.
• Ideally experience in an international environment within multinational teams and demonstrating intercultural sensitivity.
