Job summary

Hammerjack Pty Ltd is seeking a CloudOps Engineer to design, build, and maintain a scalable, secure cloud infrastructure for ERP-related solutions. You will drive automation, CI/CD, and IaC practices to support high availability and performance.

You will collaborate with senior engineers to optimize deployments, monitor systems with Datadog, and implement security controls across AWS-based environments. A proactive mindset and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Cloud & DevOps Expertise – At least 5 years in cloud-focused DevOps/CloudOps or software eng, preferably AWS.
• IaC Experience – 4+ years with Terraform, CloudFormation, or AWS CDK.
• CI/CD Experience – 4+ years building and maintaining automation pipelines.
• Linux Administration – 4+ years managing Linux-based systems.
• High Availability & Security – 4+ years designing/maintaining secure, available cloud systems.
• Software Development – 1+ year in an OO language (C#/.NET preferred).
• Scripting – 4+ years Bash or Python experience.
• AWS Services – Familiarity with core AWS services (EC2, VPC, ELB, RDS, etc.).
• CI/CD Platforms – Hands-on with Harness, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions.
• Monitoring & Observability – Experience with real-time monitoring tools like Datadog.

Responsibilities

• Lead DevOps Best Practices – Advocate and implement across products and teams.
• Implement CI/CD Pipelines – Design and optimize CI/CD pipelines with product teams.
• Enhance ERP Hosting Platform – Build next-gen ERP hosting using IaC and config management.
• Infrastructure to ensure secure, scalable deployments.
• Develop Automation Tools – Create tools to streamline deployments and monitoring.
• Drive DevOps Transformation – Architect innovative DevOps solutions for agile teams.
• Provide On-Call Support – Participate in on-call duties to maintain reliability.
• Collaborate Across Teams – Work with internal and external teams to deliver solutions.
• Foster a Learning Culture – Share knowledge and grow technical skills.
