Cambridge University Press & Assessment in Makati City, Metro Manila is seeking a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to drive cloud infrastructure initiatives in a hybrid work environment. The role focuses on automation, IaC, and secure, scalable cloud services, with collaboration across business units.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience with public cloud platforms (AWS, Cloudflare, Azure), scripting, and automation tools, supporting our global academic publishing operations.

Qualifications

• Essential: Expertise in architecting solutions using public cloud platforms, AWS and Cloudflare; Azure knowledge desirable.
• Proven experience with infrastructure technologies including Windows Server, Active Directory, VMware, networking, and cloud migration.
• Strong scripting and automation capabilities with Terraform, PowerShell, Python, GitHub Actions, n8n, and Power Automate.
• Knowledge of AI technologies including Bedrock, Azure OpenAI, RAG, chatbots, and vector databases.

What will you do as a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

Reporting to the Infrastructure Hosting Engineering Team Lead, your accountabilities will include: Act as technical lead on projects and platforms from gathering requirements, evaluating options, documentation, through to creating and implementing infrastructure solutions such as servers, storage, networks, and virtualization technologies to meet business needs.

Ensure security measures/policies, resilient solutions for business continuity, and future-proofing (resource requirements, scalability, and growth planning) are taken into account during the design and implementation process. Create scripts and automation tools to streamline repetitive tasks, improve efficiency, and ensure consistency in managing infrastructure. Actively identify opportunities for technology solutions and show accountability in creating process improvement initiatives.

Strong knowledge of AI and agentic technologies, including Amazon Bedrock, Azure OpenAI, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), knowledge-based chatbots, and vector databases.
