Job summary

Aptonet is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our dynamic development team. You will support existing actuarial solution cloud platforms and evolve to cloud-based deployments. This nearshore role targets candidates from Latin America with potential for offshoring.

Key responsibilities include API-based full-stack development, cloud deployment, legacy support, and mentoring junior engineers. Strong AWS serverless and Terraform experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Must-Have: Node.js for backend and React for frontend development.
• Hands-on with relational (PostgreSQL, SQL Server) and NoSQL (DynamoDB, MongoDB) databases.
• Deep Terraform IaC experience with multi-env setups and CI/CD integration.
• Extensive AWS serverless: Lambda, Step Functions, API Gateway, Cognito, IAM.
• Strong observability with CloudWatch for metrics, alarms, logs.
• Experience with SQS or Kafka for event-driven architectures.
• .NET/C# experience for backend services is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop API-based web applications with a cloud-first approach from concept to production.
• Solve complex technical problems with creative, scalable solutions.
• Collaborate with product stakeholders and development teams to align on requirements.
• Design, develop, test, deploy, and support cloud-based systems end-to-end.
• Maintain legacy systems while migrating to new cloud-based solutions.
• Seek continuous quality improvements for supported systems.
