Job summary

WHR Global Consulting is seeking a Senior Developer to design, build, and lead cloud-native applications powering Data Science, AI, and ML initiatives in Quezon City. The role emphasizes AWS and/or Databricks, API development, and scalable data-driven systems.

You will work with the Data Team to deploy production-grade solutions, mentor other developers, and contribute to architectural decisions while ensuring security and cost efficiency.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; equivalent experience welcomed.
• 5+ years of hands-on software development with Python/Java/Scala.
• Experience leading or supporting MLOps or DataOps frameworks.
• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with distributed systems and big data tech (Spark, Delta Lake, Kafka).
• Leadership experience (technical lead, project lead, mentoring).
• Production apps in AWS (Lambda, API Gateway, ECS/EKS, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, Step Functions) or Databricks (Delta Live Tables, MLflow, Workflows).
• Strong background in application and system integration (APIs, event streaming).
• Experience with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, etc).
• Familiarity with ML lifecycle concepts (feature engineering, deployment, monitoring).
• Strong understanding of modern software architecture: microservices, serverless, event-driven.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, and build cloud-native applications in AWS or Databricks.
• Build high-performance APIs and microservices for data-driven apps.
• Lead end-to-end solutions architecture from concept to production.
• Ensure scalability, reliability, and security in applications.
• Integrate applications with internal/external systems via APIs and events.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Mentor developers and contribute to technical strategy.
• Collaborate with Data Scientists to operationalize ML models.
