Job summary

Straive in the Philippines seeks an experienced software/data engineer to design, build, and operate production-grade data solutions end-to-end. You will work with AWS and Snowflake to ingest, transform, and deliver scalable data products for enterprise use.

You will own deployments, CI/CD, and production operations, partnering with stakeholders to enable advanced analytics and AI-enabled use cases while applying best practices in secure, observable software engineering.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, AI/ML, or related technical discipline.
• 7+ years of hands-on software engineering, solution engineering, or data engineering experience delivering production-grade systems.
• Experience building and operating data products, cloud services, or AI-enabled solutions with measurable outcomes.
• Deep hands-on AWS experience including core services, security, orchestration, monitoring, and serverless architectures; AWS cert preferred.
• Strong proficiency in Java and solid understanding of software design, APIs, testing, and maintainability.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate production-grade software and data solutions end-to-end, from problem definition to deployment and monitoring.
• Design and implement reliable, scalable data pipelines and data products using AWS and Snowflake.
• Model, curate, and optimise Snowflake datasets, schemas, and data structures for downstream consumers.
• Apply strong software engineering practices including clean code, automated testing, CI/CD, observability, and secure development.
• Partner with stakeholders to translate requirements into robust data solutions and enable advanced analytics and AI use cases.
• Use AI-assisted engineering as part of daily development to accelerate coding, testing, and documentation.
• Own deployment, release, and production operations including troubleshooting and performance tuning.
