Job summary

IOM is seeking a Senior Project Associate – Climate Action to support migration and climate resilience initiatives in Mindanao, BARMM, Philippines. The role involves coordinating actions under the HoSO, donors, and partners, with field and reporting responsibilities.

Qualifications include a university degree in relevant fields with five years of experience, or a high school diploma with seven years’ experience. Fluency in English and Filipino is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Political or Social Sciences, International Relations, Development Studies, Migration Studies, Human Rights Law or related field with five years’ relevant experience; or a high school diploma with seven years’ relevant experience.
• Accredited universities are those listed in UNESCO WHED.
• Experience liaising with government authorities, UN agencies and NGOs; project implementation, monitoring and reporting in migration/climate resilience; multi-cultural work environment advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and implement migration and climate resilience projects following work plans and donor standards.
• Analyze implementation challenges and adjust project modalities and work plans accordingly.
• Research and present information on national and international developments relevant to the project.
• Monitor and contribute to reporting on project progress and outputs.
• Coordinate financial, administrative, and technical aspects per IOM policies and donor requirements.
• Plan and conduct capacity-building workshops for internal and external parties.
• Engage with local authorities, UN agencies, donors, and stakeholders for coordination.
