ConnectOS is seeking a Civil Drafter to produce accurate civil design drawings for land development projects in a hybrid setup. You will ensure outputs align with SEQ standards, Australian codes and council guidelines, interpreting survey data and geotechnical reports into clear documentation.

The role requires tertiary qualifications in Civil Design, strong drafting skills, and the ability to coordinate with engineers and surveyors.

Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Civil Design or related discipline.
• Proven experience in civil drafting for land development projects (SEQ exposure preferred).
• Strong knowledge of Australian standards (AS/NZS 1170, AS 2159, AS 1742) and local council requirements.
• Experience producing high-quality detailed construction documentation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate civil design drawings for land development projects.
• Ensure outputs comply with SEQ standards, Australian codes, and council guidelines.
• Interpret survey data, engineering plans and geotechnical reports into clear documentation.
• Coordinate with engineers, project managers and surveyors to resolve design issues.
• Maintain consistency, accuracy and clarity across drawings and documentation.
• Deliver drafting outputs in line with project timelines and requirements.
• Participate in design reviews and provide practical drafting solutions.
• Identify and address drafting or design issues early to avoid delays.
• Conduct quality checks to ensure completeness and compliance before submission.
• Maintain and apply drafting standards, templates and best practices.
• Provide technical drafting support to project teams.
• Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and contribute to smooth project delivery.
• Support and guide junior drafters through mentoring and knowledge sharing.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of drafting workflows, tools and processes.
