Job summary

Mövenpick Resort Boracay is seeking a Chief Accountant to lead the accounting function, oversee month-end close processes, and ensure accurate financial reporting for the luxury resort.

You will mentor staff, manage G/L and reconcile, collaborate on budgets, forecasts, and monthly reports for corporate submission, while upholding high standards of financial integrity.

Experience with Opera, Sun System and Future Log is a plus; CPA preferred; hotel or resort background is advantageous.

Qualifications

• CPA preferred.
• 5 years relevant work experience as Accounting Executive/Senior Accountant.
• Experience with Opera, Sun System and Future Log.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee month-end closing procedures and direct the accounting team in month-end stock verification activities.
• Review and approve all journal vouchers for month-end closing, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
• Manage G/L accounting functions and conduct monthly reconciliations, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
• Collaborate with the Finance Manager on budget development, forecast analysis, and preparation of monthly financial reports for corporate submission.
• Mentor and supervise accounting staff, fostering professional development and maintaining high standards of financial accuracy.
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures across all financial operations.
