Job summary

EPAM Systems is expanding its Calypso practice and seeks experienced Calypso Developers to join high-profile transformation programmes within global capital markets. Calypso is a front-to-back trading platform; you will design, develop and deliver Calypso solutions across the trade lifecycle in collaboration with teams across EMEA, North America and APAC.

Qualifications

• Proven Calypso Developer with implementation, upgrade or transformation experience.
• Hands-on Calypso (v16+ preferred) with strong object model knowledge.
• Solid Java development with Spring and Hibernate.
• Full SDLC experience and OO analysis/design skills.
• Understanding of trade lifecycle across front office, risk and back-office processes.
• Knowledge of asset classes such as Rates, FX, Credit, Equities or Commodities.
• Experience integrating Calypso with external systems via APIs, messaging and batch processing.
• Proficiency in SQL and relational databases.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex issues and collaborate with global teams.
• Strong collaboration with development and testing teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and deliver Calypso solutions across the full trade lifecycle within large-scale implementation and transformation programmes.
• Collaborate closely with Front Office, Risk, Operations and Technology stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Support greenfield implementations, version upgrades and transformation initiatives across global capital markets environments.
• Integrate Calypso with external systems through APIs, messaging and batch processing.
• Contribute to the full software development lifecycle, from analysis and design through to deployment and post-go-live support.
• Develop and maintain unit and integration tests to ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Partner with development and testing teams across EMEA, North America and APAC to deliver within complex, fast-paced programmes.
• Provide technical expertise on the Calypso object model and architecture to guide design decisions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across trading, risk and post-trade processes.
