Job summary

TSG Outsourcing is seeking a Senior C# Developer to join our software development team in a work-from-home role. Focused on backend business logic and application rules, you will work within an established multi-layer architecture and collaborate with developers, QA, and stakeholders.

This role emphasizes backend processing, strong debugging, and ORM usage (LLBLGen, EF/NHibernate). Experience with Jira and production-scale codebases is preferred; remote work with US PST hours applies.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional C#/.NET development experience.
• Strong C# programming and object-oriented development skills.
• Experience developing backend application logic, business rules, services, or similar non-UI components.
• Strong understanding of application architecture and separation of concerns.
• Experience working with relational databases and writing or troubleshooting database queries.
• Experience with ORM technologies. LLBLGen experience is highly desirable, but EF/NHibernate experience is valuable.
• Experience working with existing, production-scale codebases.
• Experience with Jira or similar issue tracking systems is preferred.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain business logic using C# and the .NET platform.
• Implement and enhance complex business rules and processing workflows.
• Work within an established multi-layer application architecture, focusing on the Business Logic Layer (BLL).
• Use LLBLGen as our ORM and query framework for database interaction.
• Analyze existing code and requirements to determine the appropriate implementation approach.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application defects and processing issues.
• Participate in code reviews and help maintain development standards.
• Work with Jira to manage development tasks, bugs, requirements, and project progress.
• Collaborate with developers, QA, management, and business stakeholders to clarify requirements and deliver reliable solutions.
• Ask questions when requirements or expected behavior are unclear rather than making assumptions.
