Job summary

Rimes Technologies seeks a Senior Business Applications Developer – Salesforce & GTM to build and mature our Salesforce-centric development capability. You will implement integrations, automation and reusable components across the Go-to-Market tech landscape, establishing engineering standards and patterns for scalable solutions.

You will help shape a first dedicated development-focused role within Business Applications, expanding beyond code to shape patterns, governance and lifecycle practices

We are looking for a Senior Business Applications Developer – Salesforce & GTM to help build and mature our application development capability across Salesforce and the broader Go-to-Market technology landscape.This is a hands‑on development role for an experienced Salesforce engineer who is equally comfortable understanding business problems and solving them through well‑designed software.

Salesforce will be the primary development platform, but the role extends beyond Salesforce. You will work across our connected GTM application ecosystem, developing integrations, APIs, automation and reusable technical capabilities that support critical commercial processes.Importantly, this will be our first dedicated development‑focused role within the Business Applications function. You will therefore have an opportunity to do more than deliver code. You will help establish the engineering patterns, development standards and practices that will shape how we build and scale Business Applications in the future.

What You'll Do

Build and Extend Salesforce

• Design, develop, test and maintain custom Salesforce solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), SOQL/SOSL and Salesforce APIs.
• Build capabilities that extend beyond standard declarative configuration where custom engineering provides the better long‑term solution.
• Develop reusable components, services, utilities and frameworks rather than creating isolated point solutions.
• Design with Salesforce platform considerations such as governor limits, transaction management, asynchronous processing, security and scalability in mind.
• Produce clean, maintainable and testable code with appropriate automated test coverage.
• Troubleshoot complex application issues and perform root‑cause analysis across code, configuration, automation, integrations and data.

As our first dedicated development‑focused resource within Business Applications, you will play an important role in establishing how we engineer solutions.

You will:

• Help define development patterns and technical standards for Salesforce and related applications.
• Establish clear approaches for when to use declarative configuration, Flow, custom Apex/LWC development or integration.
• Promote software engineering principles including separation of concerns, reusability, automated testing and maintainability.
• Participate in technical design and code reviews.
• Help establish development practices that future developers joining the function can adopt.
• Identify technical debt and opportunities to simplify, refactor and improve existing solutions.

Build Across Our GTM Ecosystem

• Design and develop integrations between Salesforce and other business applications.
• Build and maintain REST/SOAP API integrations, webhooks, event‑driven solutions and data synchronization processes, where appropriate.
• Understand end‑to‑end business and data flows across applications rather than treating individual platforms in isolation.
• Design robust integration approaches incorporating appropriate authentication, error handling, monitoring and recoverability.
• Partner with application owners, vendors and engineering teams where solutions cross application or organizational boundaries.

Strengthen Our Development Lifecycle

• Support and improve source control, development, testing and release‑management practices.
• Promote structured deployment across development, test and production environments.
• Help mature CI/CD practices for Business Applications.
• Ensure production changes are appropriately tested, documented and supportable.
• Strengthen the operational readiness of the solutions you build through documentation, logging, monitoring and appropriate recovery considerations.
• Collaborate with Business Applications colleagues to continuously improve application quality and release practices.

Partner with the Business

This is not a development role where requirements are simply handed over for coding.

You will:

• Work with Business Applications, Revenue Operations and other GTM stakeholders to translate business problems into scalable technical solutions.
• Participate throughout the lifecycle from discovery and technical design through development, testing, release and operational support.
• Challenge proposed approaches where a simpler, safer or more scalable solution is available.
• Explain technical options and trade‑offs clearly to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Balance immediate business requirements with long‑term platform health, scalability and maintainability.

What We're Looking For

We are looking for someone with strong hands‑on Salesforce engineering experience who also understands the disciplines needed to operate business‑critical applications in an enterprise environment.

• Strong hands‑on development skills in Apex and Lightning Web Components.
• Strong understanding of SOQL/SOSL, Salesforce data modelling, security and sharing models, governor limits and platform architecture.
• Experience designing and consuming REST APIs and integrating Salesforce with external platforms.
• Experience with asynchronous Apex patterns such as Queueable, Batch and Scheduled Apex.
• Experience with Git/source control and structured software development practices.
• Good understanding of software engineering principles, including:
• Object‑oriented programming
• Separation of concerns
• Error and exception handling
• Unit and automated testing
• Code review
• API and integration design
• Version control
• Strong troubleshooting and root‑cause‑analysis skills across code, configuration, automation and integrations.
• Ability to translate business requirements into well‑designed, maintainable technical solutions.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to different audiences.
• Amenable to work on a hybrid set up (3x a week onsite) and can work in BGC Taguig

Experience in some of the following would be valuable:

• Salesforce Platform Developer I and/or Platform Developer II certification.
• Salesforce Revenue Cloud or CPQ development experience.
• Salesforce DX, Salesforce CLI and modern Salesforce development practices.
• CI/CD and automated Salesforce deployment processes.
• Middleware or enterprise integration platforms.
• OAuth connected applications and API authentication patterns.
• Experience with broader GTM technologies and integrating applications surrounding Salesforce.
• Experience working in environments combining declarative development, low‑code automation and traditional software engineering.
• Experience modernizing or refactoring complex Salesforce implementations.
