Astor Shipmanagement is seeking a 2nd Officer for the Manila location on a contract/temporary basis. The role focuses on safe navigation, cargo and ballast operations, and compliance with SOLAS, MARPOL, and flag state regulations.

You will prepare passage plans, monitor bridge operations, and support environmental and safety standards while maintaining crew health records and medical inventories onboard.

Qualifications

• 2nd Officer requires strong grasp of SOLAS, MARPOL, and flag state regulations; proficiency in bridge operations, watchkeeping, and emergency procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prepare passage plans and oversee safe navigation during watch.
• Execute cargo and ballast operations and maintain bridge and GMDSS equipment.
• Implement waste management and manage medicine inventory and crew health records.
