Job summary

Arcadis in the Philippines is building a BIM talent pool for future active roles. You will work within a single discipline, support model delivery to meet EIR standards, and use Navisworks, AutoCAD, and Revit to deliver clash-free models.

You will mentor junior modellers, coordinate across disciplines with BIM Coordinators, and ensure adherence to drawing standards and project workflows. A design consultancy background is valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Architecture or equivalent with BIM certification.
• 4 years of experience with BIM software on BIM projects preferred.
• Experience in a design consulting firm is required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.
• Overseas experience is an advantage.
• Strong written and spoken communication.
• Systematic and methodical approach to drawing standards.

Responsibilities

• Report to the BIM Coordinator and perform assigned tasks.
• Provide daily project status updates to the BIM Coordinator.
• Coordinate models with other disciplines using Navisworks to reduce clashes.
• Ensure models are linked correctly before modeling.
• Notify engineers of design errors or clashes with other services.
• Oversee workflow within the project and escalate issues to the BIM Coordinator.
• Assist with drawing operations using AutoCAD/Revit and support engineers.
• Mentor junior modellers and delegate work while tracking progress.

Role Description:

• To operate within a single discipline with little supervision.
• To support model delivery and compliance with project and company standards
  and meets clients Exchange Information Requirements (EIR).
• To be able to use 3 or more modelling software packages with speciality in one
  package.
• May lead a small team in BIM modelling and drawing production for single
  discipline under the supervision of BIM Coordinator.
• To create a sense of shared ownership and accountability balancing this with
  decisiveness and holding others to account for delivery.
• To take ownership for own responsibility, creating clarity and motivating and
  aligning others.

Role accountabilities:

• Report to the BIM Coordinator in charge and preform the tasks assigned
• Provide daily report of project status to BIM Coordinator and notify BIM coordinator of any changes to the model or new updated models
• Fully coordinate models with other disciplines using Navisworks ensuring models have limited clashes
• Ensure all models are linkedin correctly before modelling
• Liaise with and notify engineer of any design errors or clashes that may occur with other services
• Provide oversight on work-flow within the project and coordinate with BIM Coordinator to any issues found
• Assist the BIM coordinator with the drawing operation of assigned projects Support the engineers with issues related to drawing standards and usage of AutoCAD/Revit software
• Mentor junior modellers with any queries they have
• Delegate work to junior modellers and supervise in their progression and development

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Architecture or Equivalent Courses /
  Technical Certification relating to BIM.
• Preferably 4 years of experience working with relevant BIM Softwares on BIM
  projects.
• Job experience in design consulting firm is required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Application (word, excel, outlook).
• Overseas Experience is advantage (work in other countries or project design outsourcing company).
• Communicates effectively both orally and in writing.
• Has a systematic and methodological approach.
• Can quickly adopt to drawing standards
