Job summary

Bright Star Pty Ltd, operating as Eleven Software, is seeking a Senior Backend Python Developer to join the Stella engineering team. You will design, build, maintain and improve backend services, automation platforms and REST APIs that support internal operations and customer-facing solutions.

You will work across Python development, APIs, automation frameworks, testing and production support, taking ownership of features from design through deployment.

Qualifications

• Experience in backend Python development with REST APIs.
• Strong SQL and relational database skills.
• Experience with automated testing and code quality.
• 5+ years of Python backend development and familiarity with AWS/Ansible/Docker.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop backend software solutions.
• Participate in code reviews and peer review activities.
• Design and implement API integrations between internal and external systems.
• Develop automation workflows and supporting services.
• Investigate production incidents and perform root-cause analysis.
• Assist with deployments and post-release validation.
• Maintain technical documentation.
• Document learnings and operational procedures.
