Job summary

TASQ Staffing Solutions is seeking a Back-end Senior Engineer in Pasig for a hybrid morning-shift role. The position focuses on designing scalable backends, plugins/modules for WordPress/Drupal, and API integrations to support enterprise workflows.

You will work with REST and GraphQL endpoints, implement robust security, and handle DevOps tasks in common hosting environments. Morning shift, hybrid setup, occasional onsite per month.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s/College degree in Engineering (Computer/Telecommunication) or CS/IT.
• At least 5 years backend experience with WordPress or Drupal.
• Strong PHP and SQL knowledge.
• Experience with headless integration and RESTful APIs.
• Familiar with WPEngine and/or Pantheon hosting.
• Ability to build custom WordPress plugins/themes or Drupal modules.
• Knowledge of web security best practices and controls.
• Experience with Git version control.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable, high-performance backend solutions to optimize DB queries and speed.
• Develop and maintain custom WordPress plugins and Drupal modules.
• Build and maintain REST API and GraphQL endpoints for integrations.
• Apply security measures such as encryption and RBAC, patching vulnerabilities.
• Manage DevOps tasks including automated deployments, backups, and server tuning in hosting like WPEngine/Pantheon.
