Job summary

SYSGEN RPO seeks Senior Software Engineers (Backend) to build and scale highly scalable backend systems and microservices. You will design and implement APIs, work with PostgreSQL, Redis, and Spanner, and contribute to security, observability, and incident response.

Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to refine requirements, refactor code for performance, and lead technical projects with a focus on quality and maintainability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong experience with Go or Java.
• Hands-on experience with relational and non-relational databases (PostgreSQL, Redis, Spanner).
• Knowledge of persistence layer design, database optimization, and concurrency handling.
• Proficiency with message brokers such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• Experience with async workflows, event-driven systems, and background task processing.
• Proven experience developing well-architected APIs and microservices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to develop data-backed solutions and interpret trends.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop well-architected microservices and scalable backend systems.
• Collaborate with Product Managers and stakeholders to refine requirements and build effective solutions.
• Refactor and improve existing codebases for maintainability and performance.
• Tackle complex technical challenges and evaluate new technologies to enhance platform capabilities.
• Design and implement security controls to protect services and data.
• Lead and participate in incident response, troubleshooting and post-incident improvements.
• Build observability into systems for monitoring and issue resolution.
• Lead technical projects by coordinating teams and ensuring high-quality outcomes.
• Participate in training and development programs.
• Perform other related responsibilities and projects as assigned.
