Job summary

NCS Philippines is seeking a Senior Application Engineer to join the project team. You will investigate and resolve defects across backend services, n8n workflows, database operations, and enterprise integrations.

Hands-on experience with Python, FastAPI, n8n, PostgreSQL, and containerized apps on Microsoft Azure is essential. You will support development across DEV, SIT, UAT, PROD, and post-production monitoring, collaborating with multiple teams to deliver tested fixes and controlled releases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• At least five years of software engineering experience, preferably with enterprise applications and defect resolution.
• Strong proficiency in Python and FastAPI, asynchronous programming, REST APIs, and enterprise API integration.
• Hands-on n8n development and troubleshooting, including workflow design, node configuration, and JavaScript.
• Experience with error handling, retries, idempotency, and recovery of interrupted processing.
• Strong SQL and PostgreSQL skills, including JSON/JSONB, data integrity, SQLAlchemy, and migrations.
• Experience across DEV, SIT, UAT, and PROD environments, including release management and rollback.
• Production support, monitoring, incident triage, and post-release activities.
• Familiarity with Docker, Azure, ACR, Git, CI/CD, and automated testing.

Responsibilities

• Investigate, reproduce, and resolve defects in FastAPI services and PostgreSQL operations.
• Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot n8n workflows including triggers, webhooks, API calls, and sub-workflows.
• Resolve workflow issues related to sequencing, retries, timeouts, and processing Resume and retries logic.
• Perform root cause analysis using logs, API responses, and database queries; document findings and actions.
• Support development in DEV, SIT, UAT, and PROD; assist with testing and validation.
• Assist promotion of code, workflows, and migrations across environments following release procedures.
• Support Docker image builds, Azure Container Registry management, deployment troubleshooting, and rollback activities.
• Conduct post-production monitoring, investigate incidents, and verify recovery.
• Maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and knowledge transfer to teams.
