Job summary

Suitestudio Operations, Inc. is building its Manila engineering function to own a large eCommerce platform for Kitchen Warehouse Australia. You will own the BFF, middleware, and every integration, shaping API contracts and backend standards.

The role requires 5+ years with Node.js and TypeScript, strong REST API design, and hands-on payment integration. You will work onsite in Ortigas, collaborating across teams to deliver resilient, scalable commerce middleware with a focus on reliability and

Qualifications

5+ years with Node.js and TypeScript in production.
Strong REST API design, with some GraphQL.
Payment integration you did yourself. Tokenisation, 3D Secure.
Redis in production. Invalidation strategy, TTL policy.
Resilience patterns: circuit breakers, retry with backoff.
Serverless deployment: Netlify Functions, Vercel Functions or AWS Lambda.
Written English strong enough to author the contracts and runbooks.
Able to work onsite in Ortigas.

Responsibilities

Own the BFF and middleware, including 19 action controller domains and the services layer.
Own every integration: CyberSource, PayPal, Afterpay, Google Pay, Apple Pay, Riskified, Algolia, NetSuite.
Manage caching and resilience: Redis TTL, invalidation, circuit breakers, retry budgets.
Define API contracts and backend standards enforced by AI code review agents.
