OnebyZero is a Singapore-headquartered, APAC-focused data and AI consulting firm seeking a Software Engineer II – Backend in Makati. You will design scalable APIs, implement secure OAuth2 authentication, and build cloud-native services while ensuring observability and strong engineering practices.

You’ll collaborate with frontend, DevOps, and cross-functional teams to deliver reliable solutions. The role emphasizes clean architecture, containerized deployments with Docker, and GitHub Actions,

Qualifications

Must have strong OOP and clean architecture understanding.
Experience implementing OAuth2 authentication and token refresh.
Proficiency with Prisma or SQLAlchemy.
Experience with Docker and CI pipelines (GitHub Actions).
Observability: logging and tracing for APIs.
Familiar with AWS services: S3, RDS, Secrets Manager.
Solid understanding of deployment security practices.
Strong communication with frontend, DevOps, and cross-functional teams.

Responsabilités

Design backend systems following OOP and clean architecture principles.
Build secure authentication flows including OAuth2 and token refresh mechanisms.
Work with ORMs such as Prisma or SQLAlchemy for database interactions.
Develop, containerize, and deploy applications using Docker and CI pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions).
Implement observability with logging and tracing for APIs.
Leverage AWS services such as S3, RDS, and Secrets Manager.
Apply deployment security best practices across environments.
Communicate effectively with frontend, DevOps, and cross-functional teams to deliver reliable solutions.
