Qualifications

Job Overview:

The Senior Backend Developer is a key contributor responsible for the end-to-end development, scaling, and maintenance of robust, high-performance server-side applications, including core systems like the ENVISION EV Charging platform. This role requires expertise in identifying architectural bottlenecks, implementing necessary technical improvements, and driving forward new feature development. The Senior Developer will ensure code quality and system efficiency by engaging in continuous development and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams.

Duties and Responsibility:

• Build and maintain server-side applications.
• Identify potential issues or bottlenecks and implement necessary improvements on existing code base or system architecture with the back end team.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.

Job Qualifications:

• At least 2-3 years of work experience in the relevant field
• Excellent understanding of client-server API communication (REST)
• Proficiency in Python, MySQL, SQLAlchemy, FastAPI, and Communication Protocols (HTTP, HTTPS, FTP, SFTP etc.)
• Firm grasp on the concept of websockets
• Familiarity with AWS (RDS, Lambda, API Gateway, CloudFront, etc.)
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration using tools, such as Docker and Kubernetes
• Familiarity with messaging queues, such as Red Panda, EMQX, and Redis
• Familiarity with infrastructure provisioning using tools, such as Terraform and Serverless
• Knowledge in building database schemas, factoring in scalability
• Experience with version control tools (e.g., Git)
• Knowledgeable in CI/CD pipelines primarily using Github Actions
