Job summary

Telstra is seeking a Technical Expert to design and build scalable data platforms and integration solutions. You will own the full lifecycle from ingestion and transformation to delivery of analytical outputs and reusable assets that enable informed decisions across the business.

In this role you will work across Azure platforms, applying your data, automation, and service management expertise. You will contribute to architecture reviews, governance forums, and CI/CD practices while ensuring

Qualifications

• Must have experience in engineering, analytics, or a similar technical role.
• Strong experience in modelling, profiling, and designing end-to-end pipelines and transformations.
• Advanced SQL and PySpark skills for complex queries, optimisation, and large-scale processing.
• Proficiency in Python for processing, automation, and scripting.

Responsibilities

• Work with stakeholders to understand information needs and data flow.
• Profile source systems and outputs for quality, gaps, and usability.
• Design logical and physical models for reporting and analytics.
• Build and maintain data pipelines using Azure services and Databricks.
• Own the build of gold-layer analytical outputs and reusable components.
