Job summary

Apex Systems is actively seeking an experienced Azure cloud architect to design and implement scalable, secure Azure infrastructure for enterprise environments. The role emphasizes automation, governance, and robust networking architectures.

The candidate will work with Terraform IaC, ExpressRoute/VPN, VNets, Hub-and-Spoke, and Azure DevOps pipelines to deliver reliable cloud solutions with strong security and compliance controls.

Qualifications

8+ years of overall IT infrastructure or cloud engineering experience.
5+ years of hands-on experience working within Microsoft Azure environments.
Strong expertise in Azure networking architecture and design.
Deep understanding of Azure Security Controls.
Experience implementing and managing ExpressRoute, VPN Connectivity, VNets, Hub-and-Spoke Architectures, Disaster Recovery Solutions.
Advanced experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) methodologies.
Experience integrating infrastructure automation into Azure DevOps (ADO) pipelines.
Strong understanding of cloud security, compliance, and governance practices.
Ability to drive technical initiatives and influence architecture decisions.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
8+ years of overall IT infrastructure or cloud engineering experience.
5+ years of hands-on experience working within Microsoft Azure environments.
Strong expertise in Azure networking architecture and design.

Experience mentoring cloud engineers and providing technical guidance.
Experience working in highly regulated or security-focused environments.
Knowledge of Azure Landing Zones and enterprise cloud adoption frameworks.
