Unlock Your Potential!

At TOA Global, we have a deep commitment to empowering individuals to excel in their enterprises, careers, and communities. Our global footprint stretches across Australia, New Zealand, North America, and the Philippines, supporting our global clients in the accounting industry.

As an AU Senior Tax Accountant, you will work closely with Australian onshore teams to lead technical tax preparation, financial reporting, and statutory compliance for overseas client portfolios. Designed for an ambitious, detail-oriented tax specialist with demonstrated leadership aspirations, this remote day‑shift role operates during Australian business hours. You will take full ownership of processing financials to trial balance, preparing complex individual, entity, and trust returns, managing tax provisions, and negotiating directly with tax authorities like the Australian Taxation Office (ATO).

Your Impact
  • Trial Balance & Financial Statements: Process accounts up to the trial balance stage and prepare complete statutory financial statements for ATO lodgment.
  • Tax Returns & Year‑End Compliance: Prepare private individual, trust, partnership, and company tax returns alongside end‑of‑year tax compliance packages.
  • Activity Statement Management: Prepare and reconcile Business Activity Statements (BAS) and Installment Activity Statements (IAS) accurately and on schedule.
  • General Ledger & Provisions: Maintain general ledgers, transfer subsidiary accounts, perform complex reconciliations, and update tax provision schedules.
  • Error Correction & ATO Negotiation: Research and rectify process errors that cause filing discrepancies, and negotiate with tax authorities regarding payment plans and statutory notices.
  • Process Improvement & Team Support: Identify workflow enhancements, ensure timely tax reporting, and execute related financial or compliance projects as assigned.
What You Bring
  • The Experience: More than 5 years of total accounting and tax experience, with 3+ years specifically focused on Australian tax accounting (prior experience in an accounting or audit firm environment is an advantage).
  • The Credentials: Graduate of Accountancy or Accounting Technology; CPA qualification is a strong advantage.
  • Technical Mastery: Deep knowledge of Australian Taxation Office (ATO) compliance frameworks, tax provisions, GST/BAS, trial balance mapping, and trust/partnership tax rules. Hands‑on experience with Australian tax software (e.g., Xero Tax, HandiSoft, MYOB, or APS).
  • The Mindset: Passionate, highly organized, and attentive to detail, with strong time management skills and a clear interest in stepping into future team leadership roles.
  • Communication Prowess: Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, with the confidence to communicate directly with Australian accounting partners and authorities.
Why You'll Love It Here

We believe in rewarding high achievers with a work environment that fuels both professional growth and personal well‑being.

  • Time for You: Enjoy 21 Total Annual Service Incentive Leaves, flexible to use for travel, emergencies, or anything you may need for your "Me time".
  • Tenure Recognition Program: Celebrate your milestones with us; on your 2nd year, choose between a cash reward or one free HMO dependent.
  • Day Shift Convenience: Work convenient daytime Australian hours (7:00 AM - 4:00 PM PHT), leaving your evenings free for personal time and family.
  • Health & Security: Comprehensive HMO and Life Insurance coverage from day one.
  • Wealth & Growth: A premium salary package (PHP 95k - 159k) paired with annual performance reviews, tenure recognition, and clear pathways to formal leadership positions.
  • Global Strategic Exposure: Elevate your tax career by resolving complex ATO compliance issues, preparing high‑level entity returns, and expanding your footprint in the Australian public practice sector.
