Job summary

Hammerjack Pty Ltd in the Philippines is seeking a senior external auditor with a CPA license and leadership experience to oversee audit engagements. The role focuses on applying Philippine accounting standards and regulatory knowledge to deliver high-quality financial reporting and audit work.

The successful candidate will coach junior staff, draft comprehensive communications, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to address client issues and improve engagement outcomes.

Qualifications

• CPA license required.
• 3+ years work experience in external audit (financial statement auditing, accounting, taxation).
• At least 1 year leadership experience supervising associates within an engagement team.
• Knowledge & understanding of accounting & auditing standards i.e. PFRS, PAS, and Taxation.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate expertise in Philippines Financial Reporting Standards and in related financial reporting matter as well as expertise in relevant SEC, BIR, BSP and IC regulations
• Prepare audit work programs, draft audit reports, management letters and other communications
• Implement complex and specific audit procedures, while developing effective, client focused audit strategies
• Provide coaching and counselling to associates, and performing detailed reviews on their work,
• Proactively build relationship with client personnel, demonstrate flexibility and resourcefulness in handling client's problems
• Collaborate with other professionals within SGV such as team from tax, IT, etc.
